A group based in the Middle East, set up to stop the cruelty to the stray cats by promoting the Arabian Mau as a recognised breed.

In 2008 the Arabian Mau was accepted as an international breed by the World Cat Federation

It was hoped that by getting these strong resilient cats recognised worldwide as a pedigree breed they would become protected in their native countries, however they are still diminishing in number as their natural habitats are replaced by development projects. This original breed needs to be cherished as they belong to this region.

The volunteers and organisers of the society now have a MeCats blog as well as their website to help neuter & rehome the cats with them.
